The Ocean Rover offers 8-day/ 9-night, 9-day/ 10-night, and 10-day/ 11-night liveaboard diving trips from November to May departing from Phuket, Thailand. These trips will visit all of the best dive sites in the Andaman Sea, including the Similan Islands , Koh Bon, Tachai and Richelieu Rock and the Mergui Archipelago. The longer trips will obviously offer more diving, and will spend more time in the Mergui Archipelago. During the rest of the year she is either in Indonesia or Malaysia.

In 2007 and 2008, the Ocean Rover will be visiting the incredibly remote Andaman Islands, a part of India, but closer to Thailand than to India. Normally these islands are accessible by charter only, and individuals or couples usually cannot join. In this case, however, Ocean Rover happily accepts these bookings.

The immigration fee/ diving license for all Burma & Thailand trips is $150 US per person, although this is subject to change (US dollars only cash only--no Euro or any other currency accepted for this fee. This is the policy of the Burmese and not our policy). Please have this ready in $US cash for immigration officials on the day of departure. Note: Ocean Rover will do a blast from the past itinerary on a few selected dates from now until 2008 (yes, this vessel does plan in advance). These trips will revisit the long neglected Hin Daeng in southern Thailand. The diving is fabulous there now, but combining it with Mergui is simply too far. These dates will visit Thailand only; Hin Daeng & Hin Muang, Richelieu Rock, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, & the Similan Islands:

For Thailand only trips, the all inclusive Thailand fee is $50 US, again, payable on board. This includes port and national park fees for all the dive sites.

Prices include transfer hotel/boat/hotel. Airport transfers are also free as long as you arrive or depart the same day as the boat and don't require an overnight stay in a hotel. Prices also include full-board, coffee & tea, soft drinks, bottled water, tanks, weights, weight-belts, unlimited diving and experienced divemasters or instructors and highly trained crew.

Ocean Rover also requires that you purchase DAN or other diving accident insurance and that it is current and up to date in case of an unanticipated evacuation or other treatment that may not be covered by your regular insurance. Proof of insurance is required before you board any trip on this vessel.
